Creating an iconic image is very important for an artist, especially one that applies to the genre of pop. For 'Poppy' we wanted to emphasise her quirky nature while at the same time portray her personality with traditional pop conventions.
Imediately we decided on pink as being a key theme to her appearance, and provided this through her pink dress. We also plan in providing pink on the final cd cover design by means of the background and the text colouring.
We contrasted her satin-looking dress, which gives an elegant and sassy portrayal, with the plain white background in order to focus all attention on her.
We then chose her hair to be wavy and glamourous in order to highlight on her charm, but then also added a messy up-do to instigate her quirky, rebellious appeal.
